HOW WE WORK
Every production follows a clear sequence of decisions, production and review. You stay involved where your input matters. We keep everything else moving.
We align the manuscript, project context, format, timeline and delivery requirements before production begins.
We define the voice direction, recommend the strongest available fit and confirm the production path together.
Narration, editing, mastering, chapter preparation and quality control move through one focused production slot.
You review the completed production. We handle any agreed corrections, prepare the final files and support the agreed delivery path.
You stay close to the decisions that matter. We keep the production moving between them.
Are We a Fit?
Our model creates the most value where performance, continuity and careful production decisions matter across an audiobook — and, where relevant, across a series.
Distinct characters, emotional continuity and performance choices are central.
Tone, atmosphere, pacing and sustained performance need to carry across many hours.
Narration and production decisions need to remain coherent across long runtimes or multiple books.

Where throughput matters more than focused performance and continuity.
Outside our story-led audiobook production model.
Where human performance is not the intended production basis.
Solo, dual and series planning depends on format, voice path, timing and production scope.
Planned around finished length, scope and timing.
Planned around voice distribution, length and production requirements.
Can be planned across multiple production slots where continuity benefits from it.
Voice Fit Before Production
We begin with your manuscript, not a generic voice list. We identify the voice your story needs, then recommend the strongest available fit — from our established WLSM voices or through a carefully selected external narrator.
1. Story & Voice Proposal
We assess tone, perspective, characters, audience and series needs before recommending a voice direction.
2. Listening Moment
A project-specific excerpt lets us test pacing, pronunciation, character energy and emotional tone.
3. Feedback & Alignment
Your feedback and our German-language production review shape the final narration direction before full production begins.

Case Study
German audiobooks across the Zodiac Academy series and its companion stories.
“Zodiac Academy means so much to us, so it meant a lot to know the German audiobooks were in good hands. Katrin and Jens kept everything moving, took care of the details and made the process feel easy for our team. We really valued being able to trust them with such an important series.”
About Us
We’re Katrin & Jens — the people behind WLSM Studio. Jens narrates as Aiden Winter.
You work directly with us. We keep the relationship, creative decisions and production responsibility connected from beginning to end — bringing in another narrator or specialist when they’re the better fit, without handing away that responsibility.
For us, every production begins with the same thing: caring about the story.
Final Questions
Practical answers about pricing, timing, narrators and delivery before you get in touch.
Full production with a WLSM narrator starts at €450 per finished hour (PFH). If an external narrator is the better fit, WLSM production starts at €350 PFH plus the external narrator’s fee. We confirm the scope and final rate with you before a production slot is reserved. A 50% deposit is normally due before production begins.
Then we can bring in a carefully selected external narrator. You still work directly with WLSM, and we keep communication, production and quality responsibility connected throughout the project.
A typical production slot is planned around four weeks, depending on audiobook length, complexity and review timing. If an external narrator is involved, their availability may also affect the schedule.
